These frequently asked questions will enable you, our valued customer, to be an integral part of our team and to bring you a 5-star experience.
Day of Work...
• Day of work, no contractors or others on the premise. We cannot assume liability.
• Please unlock any fences or gates to allow access to your property before we arrive.
• Please confine any pets and clean-up their mess/poop. If not, there will be extra cost. It is unsanitary, it can get on equipment, ropes, saws, and the on the crew.
• Please have all vehicles moved.
How does our billing work? Payment is due on the completion of work. If you are not home and have not planned with the office regarding payment, then an invoice will be e-mailed. We accept cash, check and all major credit cards. Any questions please call the office at 614-532-8580
What is the best time of the year to deadwood or prune a tree? Spring and fall are the best time.
Can a tree be shaped? Not in the way most people think. We must consider the structure of the tree and its current health.
Why is tree topping not recommended? This is bad for the health and structure of the tree. Topping can lead to poor safety conditions for property owners and neighbors.
If I have a scheduling issue, question, or I want to get the job done ASAP, what should I do? If you need to schedule or reschedule the work for any reason, please call the office at 614-532-8580 and speak to the scheduler.
How does scheduling work? Work is typically done with in 1-4 weeks depending on the size of the job.
How long is an estimate good for? Estimates are good for 30 days.
What does “Scheduling for Anytime” mean? Scheduling for anytime means your work is to be done anytime during a 31-business day window. This eliminates the need to reschedule due to weather conditions.
If I request and add-on during the day of the job, will it be completed the same day? Normally we are scheduled for other work that day. It would depend on the scope of the add-on and time required. All add on work is done at $100.00 per man per hour. We recommend that if you would like to add more work, to call the office and schedule a time for your estimator to come back out before date of work.
How long after tree work until my stump is done? Sometimes stump removal is not completed during the tree removal. Stump grinding usually occurs 0-14 business days after the tree work is completed. The invoice for the stump grinding will follow our normal billing procedures. (See: How does our billing work see above).
How deep does stump grinding go? Stumps are typically ground 3-8” below grad, unless otherwise requested.
What does “Bust the Stump” consist of? Bust-the-Stump is a process that grinds entire stump to make it easier to plant in the same spot. (no roots will still be attached to the stump).
What does “Area Grinding” consist of? This is when a grinding is done in a pre-marked area, not just a stump.
What does 'Grinding the Surface Roots” consist of? Grinding of roots around stump that are above the ground and bigger than 1 inch around.
